William & Mary Tripot TorcherWilliam & Mary Tripot Torcher

A pair of William and Mary walnut rosewood and seaweed marquetry Tripot Torchers.
The moulded octagonal tops with Kingwood bandings the centre is inlaid with roundels surrounded by scrolling foliage. Mounted on turned and square tapering baulster stems inlaid with marquetry panels, with a concave platform and scrolled feet with confirming marquetry decoration. Some later elements.

The underside of one retains the trade label of "Frank Partridge Works of Art, 26 St. Jame's and New York - from Sir Henry Price collection".
Purchased from Frank Partridge & Sons Limited on the 1st January 1939 for £75:15s
