An 18th century Lancashire mahogany mule chest of the very best quality. The chest has a rectangular moulded edged lift up top. The front having three short and two long 'dummy' drawers above four drawers, flanked by two cluster columns on canted corners. Retaining all original brass handles. Standing on ogee shaped bracket feet.

A rare 17th century small joint mule chest with the initials F B on each side of the top keyhole. Above three shaped panels with applied mouldings. Flanked by two medieval crowned female figures, one holding the scales of justice the other holding a small harp shaped musica instument. The base drawer having two carved frieze panels above fine moulding, all standing on block feet.
