A very rare and fine quality small George I walnut writing desk. The fall front with matched veneers outline with cross and feather bandings. The interior revealing a velvet lined writing surface and six conformingly banded short drawers including one with a small compartment. The feather banded frieze drawer above an arched apron on cabriole legs with scrolled knee brackets and pointed pad feet.

The fall front revealing a fitted interior of drawers and pigeon holes arround a central cupboard door flanked by a pair of vertical drawers with applied column mouldings. The two long graduated drawers including divisions to the lower drawer, above a shaped apron on cabriolet legs with scrolled carved knees with claw and ball feet. Formerly fitted with a dressing mirror.

A Napoleon III mahogany and Vernis Martin 'Bureaux a Cylinder' in the Louis XVI style,with gilt metal mounts.
The stepped superstructure with a three quarter gallery top on fluter boulster columns above a mirror backed recess and flanked by four short drawers above a cylinder fall decorated with pastoral scene. Enclosing three pigeon holes, three short drawers and pull out baize inset writing surface above a drawer with floral swag decoration all on fluted legs and giltmetal spoot feet.
